The Paradise story began with a small spark that fired into great influence. The little spark began with Seafood Paradise – a humble 25-seater eatery in Defu Lane in 2002, which gained popularity with its sumptuous and reasonably-priced dishes. Spurred by this success, our founder Eldwin Chua opened a second outlet at the iconic Singapore Flyer to make Seafood Paradise a prominent showcase, and gained not just a local fan base, but an international crowd appreciative of Singapore seafood delights.

Staying firm to his belief in creating great food at good value for food lovers, Eldwin continues to grow the Paradise brand. Today, Paradise Group houses a total of 11 culinary concepts across 9 countries, serving customers at close to 50 restaurants in Singapore and more than 60 restaurants worldwide.

  • Made a cash donation of S$10,000 to Children’s Society
  • Collaborated with Make-a-Wish Foundation and raised S$32,500 funds through sales proceeds from purveying designated dishes
  • Contributed recipes for a cookbook by Tan Tock Seng Hospital, named “Chinese Herbal Cooking: Your Companion During Cancer”


  • Conducted cooking Masterclasses for NUH cancer survivors and cancer patients’ caregivers
  • Sponsored vouchers for Community Chest Heartstrings Walk
  • Weekly providence of meals to 130 old folks
  • Sponsorship of buffets for Church and Old Folks’ Home events
  • Contributed S$5,000 to The Brand Bull Book Pre-launch and Community Fund Raiser 2015


  • Visited Singapore Cheshire Home to interact with the residents, and bring them mooncake greetings
  • Made a donation of S$18,216 to Singapore Cheshire Home from sales proceeds during mid-autumn festival
